CHARATERISTICS OF A LANDSLIDE
Landslides vary in sizes and normally take place on steep hills. Everyday the earths land moves at least a few centimetres to millimetres a day which causes tension in the earth and bedrock which causes cracks then this leads to a landslide. Heavy rainfall and melting snow causes the earths land to move more and more each day. When a landslide takes place masses of rock, earth and debris slide down the slope and when this happens houses that are on the slope can be destroyed and everything can be washed down this is called a landslide.
