Leading up to Landslides
Landslides happen when rock and sediment loosen and roll down a steep slope. The main place for landslides to happen are on steep hills and if your area is going to receive another landslide it will most likely happen to occur in the same place as the last one happened. Once a rain storm or an earthquake has taken place there could be a good chance that a landslide could follow it because an earthquake makes the rock and soil unstable which will cause a landslide. When a rain storm has occurred it can make sloped areas completely saturated by rain and that can then cause a landslide. When soil runs down the slope it means it has flooded with to much water. Seismic activities have always been one of the main reasons for landslides to occur.
